BSides Canberra 2025 will host the acclaimed Black Bag challenge from Redacted Information Security and Malware Security.
The Black Bag is an offensive cyber security challenge series that uses computer infrastructure and physical spaces to create interesting arenas for teams to hack, infiltrate, and effect using their cyber security skills.
This Black Bag will be a little different than previous events seen at BSides Canberra the ADF Cyber Skills Challenge, BSides Adelaide 2024, and BSides Canberra 2024.

The Shadow Council is making plans. For months, their agents have been moving in the shadows, gathering resources, positioning assets, preparing for something massive. Whatever they're scheming, it's bigger than anything we've seen before. Their dark fortress stands impenetrable - or so they believe.
Our network of spies have discovered the location of their war room, where all their schemes are planned and their secrets stored. One night. One chance. The fate of the realm hangs in the balance.

Gather your party of 4-8 and be ready for anything!

NOTE: there will be cameras streaming your run in the room to a TV outside. The footage is not used for anything unless we otherwise get your explicit permission to use it promotionally. It is deleted after the event. The cameras are there to add a ‘spectator element’ to the room, which has been oft requested.
NOTE 2: lasers will be in use. Lasers are a hazard. Please do not look directly into the laser and you will be fine.
